Update - October 21, 2010
Halloween 2010
This time of year, when fear holds sway
And Mad King Thorn comes out to play,
His trusty servants hope and pray
That Halloween is here to stay.
You’ll get a strange thing from the king
And stranger still from candy,
Beware the pain that bad jokes bring,
And keep your weapons handy.
An ancient evil stains the land,
It reaches from the interior,
The grasp of doom's cold, clammy hand:
Could Tyria get any eerier?
[edit] Halloween Events
* Preparations have been made for Halloween 2010.
* A number of new quests will become available throughout the course of the events.
* Some NPCs in GvG are showing their Halloween spirit by wearing costumes.
* Costume Brawl:
* Added new hero and villain costumes.
* Costumes and teams will be randomly assigned for each match.
* Game rewards have been changed to 15 Gamer points per win.
* Players no longer receive Gamer point bonuses for consecutive wins.
New quests, happy days : )

Well, that's one way of disincentivizing syncing.

If the same changes are made to glad points and RA team formation as have been made to costume brawl and gamer points, I will actually play RA for the first time since unlocking TA. Each win/loss being entirely independent of any preceding wins/losses is a great idea and is a good way to make casual PvP appealing to casual PvPers like me.

It's great that cheating/synching has been stopped. Thanks for a fine update.
Any costumes being put up at the store? Please!

The costume guy in GToB says about new costumes! Raiment of the Lich and Lunatic Court Finery :> No new items in the store, though.

The npc changes are quite funky, nice trivial touch considering nothing else yet.
Hoping we'll see this "lite" version of the pvp reward change soon?

Costume brawl costumes appear to be random.

No RA would still suck unless they banned healers with that system. Ban healers and make it randomized it would be a riot.

Yes please. RA has needed some kind of change for a long time.
